Video Edits

I started playing with small video edits about the time much new things were happening in my life about two years ago. I love this form of expression over still images. Yet the images do make a good part of the quality of video production. These take a long time to produce. The first probably has over 60 hours into it. yet was one of my first attempts at 3D animation. To render 30 seconds of movie took 10 hours of computer time on a Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz machine. My old machine, a Pentium 2 running at 333 Ghz, took 3 days. The average time to make a 3 minute video if I don't have to edit much of the still images, is about eight to ten hours.

Note* Many of these videos, would not have happened if it was not for some of the most special people to come into my life... and for the I am eternally grateful. An interesting journey indeed.

Heavenly Pearls: (5 megs) Some 3D rendering I did set to the music from the movie "Men in Black".

If the Mask Fits: (4 megs) Playing with my face and overlays of Kind Tut. Music from the movie "Equilibrium".

Mask of Kiya: (3 megs) Overlay play of a friend with Kiya, who was probably the mother of Tut, set to the music "The Embrace" by Al Di Meola.

Carter vs Carter: (3 megs) Made in memory of one of my best friends who died suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack. He used to joke about how his favorite vegetables were mustard catsup an relish. I sure wish he ate better. I found it interesting how his facial features were quite similar to Howard Carter, the man how discovered Tut's tomb. Music from the movie "Equilibrium". Yeah I know, I just liked that movie and especially the Gregorian Chant music.. Love that stuff.. "shivers".. winks

Burning Liberty: (12 megs) A bit of a sad social commentary on the state of America after the passing of the Patriot Acts. Scenes and music from the movie "Equilibrium"
